About the MSA

The Management Student Association (MSA) is a non-profit organization representing 900+ students studying in the Faculty of Management at UBC Okanagan. As a member of the Canadian Association of Business Students (CABS), we connect our students with a nation-wide network of academic and professional development opportunities.

I’ve been a part of the MSA for three out of my four years at UBCO and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. It has given me skills that I was unable to learn in the classroom, as well as connections that will last a lifetime.

Joining the MSA was one of the best decisions I have made during university. I have been able to expand my personal and professional network, and develop my future career aspirations.
— Nick Mercuri
Being far away from home, the MSA helped me gain a support system and inspired me to make the most of my university experience. The MSA helped my second home feel like home.
— Alexe Roussel
Being a part of the MSA has shaped my University experience in a way that I had never imagined. Coming here as a transfer student last year, I was aware of the MSA, but I was pleasantly surprised by the way the MSA immediately inspired me to get involved and be a part of the family.
— Sara Houston

The MSA hosts many events throughout the year; including social as well as academic events. Whether you are looking to meet students within the faculty or looking to further enhance your University Education, there is an event out there for you. We can’t wait to see all your faces there!

Within the MSA we have 7 clubs for students to join and educate themselves on what they are passionate about. Not only are clubs a way to enhance your knowledge in fields that interest you, it allows for like minded students to connect and make relationships that will last a lifetime.

Conferences and competitions are an amazing resource to prepare students for real life business problems. The MSA has a full list of conferences and competitions that students can apply for with the opportunity for partial subsidization.
